RRTool

RRTool is the extended features companion app to your RR1090 and similar BAI refractometers. It communicates via encrypted BLE with your device mirroring its buttons and providing extended functionalities such as:

  • cloud spreadsheet logging
  • long-cycle-run data sync to cloud spreadsheet
  • device firmware upgrades
  • on device QR code generation
  • ATC (Brix)

For Android, as of April 2025 we have transitioned away from the Google Play store to providing the latest release v1.0.36 installation file directly here

  1. Once the download completes, tap the APK file from your browser’s downloads.

  2. You’ll see a security prompt like:
    “For your security, your phone is not allowed to install unknown apps from this source.”

  3. Tap Settings.

  4. Enable Allow from this source.

  5. After enabling, go back and tap Install.
